Our clinical trials and medical research studies have helped millions
Over the years, LICRA has participated in many clinical
trials and
medical research studies resulting in approval of drugs that are widely
used and helping millions. With volunteers like you participating in
these clinical research studies, new medications and treatments can gain
FDA approval and be made available to the public. Here are two of many
examples of successful clinical trials and medical research studies completed
at LICRA:
- In 1998 we participated in a clinical research study of a new
medication for Crohn's disease that gained FDA approval in 2000. This
medication is now helping thousands of Crohn's disease patients achieve
and maintain remission of their disease.
- In 2002 we participated in a clinical research study that enabled
one the most widely used heartburn medications to be approved for a
new indication. This clinical research study ultimately helped countless
heartburn sufferers.
