Clinical Trial Successes
LICRA’s clinical
trials and research studies have benefited thousands
Over the years, LICRA has participated in many clinical
trials resulting in approval of drugs that are widely
used and helping thousands. When volunteers participate
in these medical research studies, new medications and
treatments can gain Food and Drug Administration (FDA)
approval and be made available to the public. Among our
many successful clinical trials and research studies
are the following:
- In 1998 LICRA participated in a clinical study of
a new medication for Crohn's disease that gained FDA
approval in 2000. This medication is now helping thousands
of Crohn's patients achieve and maintain remission
of their disease.
- In 2002 we participated in a study that enabled
one the most widely used heartburn medications to be
approved for a new indication. This ultimately helped
countless heartburn sufferers.
